I really enjoyed these yams, especially the next day after making the dish. The flavors really marry together well.
    Good recipe

Once again you can't go wrong with Paula's recipes. This was so easy & they turned out great.

I agree with Jeannie and Audra, 3 cups is too much water. "syrup" never did thicken. Flavor was ok, but nothing to write home about. I left them in the oven all night at 250 degrees and they were much better in the morning. If I were to try this again, would only use 1 c. water. Paula, I usually LOVE all your recipes, always love your show, and will continue to make your recipes. This is the first I have tried that I didn't consider a 5 star!

These were the best yams that I have ever had and the Jack Dainels for good also. In the recipe and in the glass.

My husband and I agree: these are the best yams we have ever had. Not too sweet, I believe the Jack Daniels has a lot to do with it. Thank you, Paula!!

Just tried this one out today. Everyone loved the recipe. I added marshmallows on top, because that's the way I like them. I knew Paula wouldn't let me down! She?s my favorite.

My entire family found these absolutely delicious. I have made others similar to this but these had just the right sweetness. My children loved them too. None of these went to waste. There is absolutely no alcohol taste - just sweet wonderful yams.
