    Good pie; disappointing volume

Rated: 3 stars out of 5
I consider myself a decent cook & baker, but the volume just wasn't there on this pie. It barely filled up half of the... crust. Good flavor, not so great presentation. Perhaps I did something wrong.Read more

    Just Plain Wonderful!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
This pie is delicious. It is so amazing that just four ingredients could produce such an excellent pie. It is rich,... chocolately and decadent. Once I melted the chocolate and butter, I took the mixture off the heat and first added the sugar, then the eggs. Had no problem with eggs scrambling. You really don't have to get the mixture of butter and chocolate super hot to melt the two together. Moderate heat will do the job just fine. This pie has become a favorite in our house already. Thanks Paula. Read more

    Great and super easy

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
This pie was soooo good and incredibly easy to make. After reading some of the reviews, I was worried it wouldn't turn out... right. But I made it just like Paula did on the show, melted the chocolate, butter, and then added sugar when it was almost all melted. I did it over low heat so it didn't get very hot. I did temper the eggs to be sure they didn't scramble, and then poured them into the chocolate mixture and mixed it up. I baked it for 25 mins and then left it in the oven with the door propped open for 7 mins as some of the other reviewers did. I refrigerated it and it was great that evening and the next. Now it's all gone and I need to make more!Read more

The reason yalls pies are turning out soggy or not set, is because you are putting the filling into the the pie crust when it... is too hot. The steam is causing it to get "mushy". And the chocolate obviously has to be not scorching hot when you add the eggs! Haven't you made breakfast before--you know that egss cook quik! :) Be patinet and let things cool! Read more

    Old Fashion Fudge Pie

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
Great!!!! I followed the directions to the "T" and it came out great. I was a little nervous to make this pie because some... of the reviews I read, but if you have a little cooking skill in the kitchen, you will have no problem with this recipe. Please try it. Some say it was too sweet, my family said it wasn't. Personal preference.Read more
