I made this for the first time today and loved it! I didn't have much to work with and couldn't figure out what to make. When I found this recipe I knew it was going to be good! I absolutely LOVED it and so did my kids and they are very picky eaters! So I would say this meal will be made more often in the future!!!

Made this two times in one week! Love the green peppers. Makes a great sandwich sliced cold on buttered bread.

I make this recipe all the time cause I do not like using the seasoned packets! I have had no problems with it falling apart or any of the what other people have rated bad. If it does fall apart try using 2 eggs instead of one, or larger eggs. And use the eggs that are at room temp. I do not use bell peppers cause my husband doesnt like bell peppers so I just shread carrots and it tastes just as fine! : and I use unsalted diced tomatoes from the can. My husband LOVES this recipe! you can use this recipe however you like. Like I added shredded carrots you can use other vegetables! and the oats are great! I dont taste the oats, maybe you are using the wrong kind of oats with flavor? I used just regular non flavored oats that you can bake with.

This was wonderful! I used red & yellow peppers since that's what I had on hand. Normally I depend on a combination of LOTS of herbs & spices. In this case less is more. Thanks Paula

I usually don't find the recipes that Paula Deen makes very enticing, but I was in the mood for meatloaf and didn't have a lot of time. So I tried this recipe since it seemed quick and easy. Boy was I disappointed and regret not putting in the time to make another recipe from another chef. The sauce was way to sweet for my taste instead of tomato-y, so either half of brown sugar or much less of the sauce can be used. I expected the oats and juice from the canned tomatoes would give the meatloaf most of its moisture, but it was way too mushy for what I'm used to and wanted. When slicing and serving, the meatloaf just fell apart and looked like a pile of mushy hash rather than meatloaf. And I could taste the oats more than the beef. Even if you add more beef or use less oats, flavor was just meh.
