This is a very flavorful meatloaf, the onions and bell peppers inside it made it so amazing. The only thing i did wrong was that i put it into a loaf pan, the loaf pan holds the juices in and made it very moist, although my family enjoyed it a lot I knew meatloaf is supposed to stay a loaf and not crumble. I suggest putting the meat in an 8x8 or 9x9 glass pan and shaping it into a loaf there, just as the recipe says. So follow the recipe and you are sure to get a meatloaf that your whole family will love.

All the flavors were GREAT! Loved the glaze as well! My only complaint is that it was so mushy! I dont know if its because I made it in a loaf pan, because I noticed in Paulas video she made in a larger pan(maybe13x9so that maybe aloud it to breath more and let loose more some of the juices!?! I was ready to SLICE the loaf and it be held together and it just fell apart:(

I never made meatloaf before, and this recipe was not only top rated but also the most simple recipe for meatloaf. Its okay, but not tasty as everyone is raving about. I followed the recipe to the T, even the glaze. I find it too sweet. To me, it needed something to stand out... It just tasted bland.

My family loves this meatloaf! It's one of the best we've ever tasted! The oats are great because it can easily be made gluten free. :

There is a reason why this meatloaf has soo many reviews and 5 stars! I've always wanted to make meatloaf and came across this receipe. It is very easy to make and it is one of the best meatloaf I have ever had. Enjoy! I usually deviate a little from recipes, but I followed every single step and it was great!!!

Best. Meatloaf. EVER. We make this fairly regularly now. Try to stick to the recommended quantities. Be careful not to dump the whole can of diced tomatoes in... otherwise, it'll be way too juicy. You may also be tempted to add more onion/bell pepper but don't do it... it won't be as cohesive. Made as directed, it's perfect. I find myself adding some italian parsley though and I think it adds to the dish. Sauce topping really makes it scrumptious, so don't skip.

So, my husband said "Could you make an old fashioned meat loaf - you know like Paula Deen would make?" How could I not try this? WE LOVE IT! In fact, I make two at a time and freeze the second loaf. One 14.5 oz can of diced tomatoes does the trick to double the recipe. We defrost it and microwave portions as needed. Thank you Paula - once again you ROCK!
