Yum!! This was the best "pumpkin pie" I've ever made. It reminded me of my grandmother's pumpin pie which, up to now, I have never even come close to before. I didn't go the trouble of making the meringue, but it was wonderful without it. I now think the meringue would be a good addition, but it wasn't necessary at all. My family, but not my waistline, thanks you, Paula.

this is the only one with basic sweet potatoe pie in which you could work off of. so if it included some of the tricks like home cooking grandmas do it would be cool.

This is the best sweet potato pie I have ever tasted ... and I didn't even top it with the meringue. Something really gives it a kick - must be the ginger. Paula has another winner!
