YUMMY!! I MODIFIED BY USING 4 CUPS BEEF BROTH (1BOX INSTEAD OF 2 CUPS WATER, PLUS I ADDED 1-1/2 CUPS RED WINE, THIS GAVE IT A NICE RICHNESS.
WE LIKE ALOT OF GRAVY W/ OURS. ALSO ADDED 8 SMALL YELLOW POTATOES W/ THE CELERY AND CARROTS. VERY HEARTY AND DELICIOUS!!!!! TRY IT!!!

Delicious!!! Very easy to make. I did add a little more water. No leftovers. Wouldn't say it can feed six people. Maybe three/four adults. Would be great with some crusty bread and good butter. Thanks Paula......again!

This recipe is seriously amazing. I have made it several times and even sent it off to a friend who had a baby. They loved it too because it is awesome. My husband always asks for potatoes in the stew, so next time I will add those but other than that the recipe is perfect as is! Thanks Paula!

Made this stew last weekend, my husband LOVED it! I loved the flavors too. The allspice made it a little "warmer" like a big hug! A great cold weather meal. We also used beef stock as suggested in other reviews but did not change anything else about the recipe. This one's a keeper!!

Awesome stew and I am not a stew person but the family wanted it so I tried it. It was fantastic and everyone LOVED it. Only change I made was a little more liquid because I added potatoes to the stew.

Followed the directions exactly and had the most delicious stew tonight! The meat was tender and the gravy was tasty! I served it with mashed potatoes--the plates were cleaned to a shine!

I've never tried making stew before, and there really is nothing to it. I did add a can of peas, and 2 cups of botton mushrooms with the carrots and celery. In doing so, I found that I needed to add double the amount of water in order to submerge the ingredients while cooking. Also, I added some beef stock to boost the flavour of the broth. Great for leftover lunches!

excellent recipie. I cooked the meat in the slow cooker most of the day then added the vegetables plus cut potatoes at the end. YUMMM! This will be my go to beef stew recipe. Note the all spice adds a warmness that makes the stew something special.
