This was a huge hit for dinner the other night--everyone cleaned their plates and some had seconds. Very easy to make. I used beef broth instead of water and added an extra carrot---served it with mashed potatoes and warm french bread. The beef was tender and tasty. The leftovers were even better---my coworker was practically drooling while I heated up my lunch in the microwave.

Thank you very much for this recipe. I have tried to find a good stew recipe for years and now I finally have one.

I made this one rainy night for myself and loved it! I think next time I might add some potatos and fresh green beans. But the stew as it was, was excellent!

This is so incredibly good served over the potato dish Paula made along with it. Ultimate comfort food.

It was a rainy evening, so I decided to make this stew. It was very easy and it tasted great! However, I served it with plain mashed potatoes. It was good and I'd definitely make it again.

My husband loved this dish so much that it made him sweat. I didn't know a person could sweat from food that wasn't spicy hot!
