I cut the recipe in 1/2 for the two of us and my we loved the stew. I love having this recipe because I was using the packaged spices to make stew.

I had my doubts at first, didn't think the stew would be flavorful enough. BUT, after it sits a while, the flavor intensifies!
Next time I will add some diced potatoes and a few spoons of tomato paste and see what I get.

My family loved this recipe. I tweeked it a little by using beef broth instead of water, olive oil to brown the meat and garlic and onions and I added some red potatoes in the end. I will definatly make this one again. Thanks Paula!

This recipe is not only easy, but the best tasting stew I have ever made. Just having the smell of this stew simmering in the kitchen gives the comfort of childhood memories of care free living. A pan of cornbread rounds out this meal as a winner!
