    I have made this stew for 27 years, minus the celery. It is the favorite of my family. Can never mess it up. I have cooked it on my woodstove, crockpot, etc and it is always wonderful!!!

    A very good dish, follow the recipe as stated, next time I prepare it, I will add fresh mushroom, and serve it over rice.

    I cut the recipe in 1/2 for the two of us and my we loved the stew. I love having this recipe because I was using the packaged spices to make stew.

    I had my doubts at first, didn't think the stew would be flavorful enough. BUT, after it sits a while, the flavor intensifies!
    Next time I will add some diced potatoes and a few spoons of tomato paste and see what I get.

    My family loved this recipe. I tweeked it a little by using beef broth instead of water, olive oil to brown the meat and garlic and onions and I added some red potatoes in the end. I will definatly make this one again. Thanks Paula!

    This was so OSSUMM!!!!My family loves beef stew and I am always trying to find the best beef stew recipe. Now I can stop looking because this one was fantastic. I ask my husband to rate the recipes 1 - 10. This one was a 10+. Love your recipes and your style Paula!
