This is the best fudge I have ever tasted. I make it all the time for friends and family. It turns out perfect every time!! It is like the old Hersheys fudge I used to try and fail most times. Thank you Paula!!

This was very easy and turned out perfectly smooth. It set up in a buttered dish on the counter-not the fridge. I went exactly by the recipe.
I think next time I may add a little more cocoa for a more chocolate flavor.

I tried to follow the recipe and the fudge did not turn out. At first, I thought I made some mistake but later found the recipe given is missing an important step. After the fudge is heated to the required temperature and removed from the heat the mixture should be allowed to cool after adding the butter without stirring. I should be cooled to 120 degrees fahrenheit. Then the mixture should be beaten and stirred. I followed the directions give and these steps were ommitted resulting in fudge that never hardened. It remained mushy and too soft. It remained the consistency the of icing. It was supposed to harden and it never hardened. I looked at other fudge recipes and found that this is the missing step. I have a candy thermometer and followed every step as given. So, this recipe was a waste of time.

I remember when I was just a little girl (30 yrs ago my mom used to make this fudge & pop popcorn then curl up on the couch to a good movie. This is the only fudge that I will ever make plus I love the texture.

Have tried this and the one from Emeril, never sets up and after reading the reviews I see I am not the only one that had the same problem. My older sister use to make fudge and it would sit up in the pan before she could get it poured into the plate. I have done everything as it was written, but it will not sit up. Always have to eat it with a spoon. Is it the humidity?

I have attempted this recipe now three times....I think the flavor is good which is why I keep trying.
1.first time...too grainy....I didn't mix it enough.2.second time I had remembered reading that you mi untill the gloss is gone so I tried that 3.third time, I mixed in my Stand mixer I think Forever and finally gave up went ahead and poured it into the pan and it isn't going to happen.
I did notice that the HUGE sweet flavor gets mellow the longer it is mixed. What should I try now?
I used a candy thermometer, real butter I measure precisely. I am so frustrated I can't get this down.
