I made these for a Super Bowl party and they were a BIG hit! The texture is more like a cake than a brownie, but the taste is divine. This isn't something I would make often considering all the butter involved, but it is certainly something you can indulge in occasionally. I would like to try this recipe with a few healthy substitutions and see how it taste. Next time I will try this with lemons. YUM!

Brought them to work for a treat day and they got rave reviews! Nice change from the usual chocolate brownie. I just don't know how to stop licking the frosting off of everything!

Just made these brownies for super bowl tomorrow and couldn't wait to taste. Soooo yummy, I love the texture and the orange flavor is a nice change from the chocolate brownies. I didn't change a thing. Will add this one to my recipe box. Thanks Paula..

We loved the orange flavor, these were yummy! I cut back on the sugar about 1/2 cup, and they were plenty sweet. I used the lower in fat cream cheese as well, for the icing. Thanks Paula

SOOO GOOD. I loved these and so did my boyfriends family. I loved the chewiness and next time I will bake them a little longer, I baked them in an Airbake pan and it went about 40 mins. The best part was the browned chewy edges. I don't know where people got "cake-like" results from. Very dense chewy flavorful and awesome. I didn't have orange ext so I used Cointreau (orange liquor. Thank you Paula.

I have made this recipe twice now, and it is fantastic!!! But I did have to change a few things to make it a healthier option! I cut the butter in half with applesauce and I cut the sugar in half with Splenda. 1/2 cup Splenda is equivalent to 1 cup of sugar. 1/2 cup of applesauce is equivalent to 1 stick of butter. I also used tofu cream cheese as an alternative to regular cream cheese and the other time I just used regular style cream cheese. Both recipes were great and I will definitely be making this recipe again!!!

Excellent recipe. Not too sweet, just right. Not to plug a company, but I always use Boyajian citrus oils where the recipe calls for citrus extract. They are the best. I used orange oil in this recipe for the brownies. The icing is wonderful. Such a refreshing dessert. Paula, you've done it again, yet another "go to" recipe that's fast and easy and certainly delicious !!

I don't get it. These sound so good and I have had people tell me these are wonderfull but Ive made these twice now and both times ended up with a pan of greasy goo. Had to throw both efforts in the trash as they were not edible. They did not bake into nice cake like brownies like so many reviewers mention. More like a thin, greasy cookie. I thought I had made a mistake the first time so I made them again and was careful but still a disaster. There isn't enough flour or there is too much butter.

Excellent! I do not like orange flavored, well anything; however, I have not been able to stop eating this since it came out of the oven.

Excellent. I love anything with orange. The frosting was to die for.
Thanks Paula
