My husband and I decided we wanted to try something new; so I had thought of why not try Bananas Foster?? I found this easy recipe and reviewed the comments and what everyone stated this to be easy and great. After what seemed to be a 5 minute prep/cook time we had a sophisticated dessert on our hands that was to die for!!! Would recommend this to anyone!

I'm cracking up pretty hard right now. Just goes to show you should proof read your comments! I bet JEN would get a kick out of re-reading her post where she says that she "Put her kids in the blender" to make shakes of this recipe....TOO FUNNY!
Oh and Paula, this recipe is off the hook! We put ours over vanilla Ice cream...YUM!

IT was so yummy! Just put your bananas on a different plate than they were orginally scooped out of the pan. Otherwise the sause overpowers the bananas.

This recipe has become a favorite at my house. It is easy, and entertaining to light the flame!!! Stand back when you light the flame....one night I asked my kids if they were ready and when I lighted the rum...I jumped back, the kids laughed and yelled "Were you ready Mom!" It is a family legand now.

Used some almost-over-ripe bananas; they survived the cooking. I did not have rum; cut back on the sugar a tad and tried a splash of Grand Marnier to flambe. It was a delight over french vanilla ice cream. Added a couple of chocolate covered strawberries -- a sophisticated take on a banana split?
