I thought these had a great flavor, but they came out way to crunchy and flat, like cookies from a box. I like mine a little fluffier.

Wow! I did not expect these to be as good as they are. I have never had an oatmeal raisin cookie that tasted so good. Very easy to make and taste Fantastic!

Paula, These are the best oatmeal cookies I have EVER made. They are soft and not-too-sweet, crumbly and delicious. Let me put it this way: they were too good to take into the office! Excellent, excellent recipe.

There is something about the flavor, maybe the buttermilk, that tastes strange to me. Also, they spread out a lot more than I like, but I did use rolled oats instead of quick-cooking, so that might have affected them. My husband and son, however, think they are very good.

I made this recipe last Christmas. It was a hit! This year, I tried replacing the raisins with chopped dried apples. Too terribly good!

The recipe takes alot of ingredients, but it was worth it. Everyone loved the cookies and said it was the icing that made the cookies. They're very light, too. Definitely not your typical oatmeal cookie.

This recipe appears in another place under the same name, but includes the Brown Butter Frosting recipe as well as the ratings.
