    Made these a couple of years ago for Thanksgiving my in-laws loved and they were gone within 2-days all I took home was an empty container. This is a great twist on the traditional oatmeal cookie. Making them again tonight.

    These were great! I used chocolate chips instead of raisins, which made the cookie perfectly sweet. I don't think the icing was necessary.

    My husband loves Oatmeal cookies. This is the second time I make them because he kept asking for more : This time instead of raisins I put dried cranberries, just for a change, I made them last night and he's ate about 5 cookies already lol and he claims he doesn't have a sweet tooth ;

    Flat. Really flat cookies and they fell apart trying to get them off of the sheet. I baked them according to the recipe. The only thing I can figure is that it was the buttermilk. I'm thinking the buttermilk was too runny. IDK. However, I really loved the flavor! The cookies are packed full of (what I like to call "holiday" spices.

    Delish! As many other reviews say, The heat/cook time is a little high, so a baked them at 340º F for 12-13 minutes. Perfect! The Brown Butter Icing is amazing!!!!! It says to grease 1 cookie sheet. Don't listen to that. Even following the recipe, You will need 4-5 cookie sheets. Make sure you let the cookies cool before you take them off the sheet. They are very thin and soft. Just because I could, I hid a few white chocolate chips inside a batch. YUM! Some reviews say the spices are a little much. Maybe so, but they make it all the more delicious! You can tone down the spices a little bit, but they are delectable full-blast/ A wonderful recipe!! I always make this whenever we have company (or just cause I'm hungry and they make my day every time!!! Highly recommend this recipe!!!!

    Tastes like Christmas! ....well all in all it was an alright cookie, somewhat overwhelming for my taste buds. It came out to be more like a cross between an oatmeal cookie and a gingerbread. I like the spices and think they are interesting so getting rid of them completely doesnt seem right..maybe if I half all of them the second time around it would be subtle enough.Oh and after the first batch I changed the cook time to 7-8 minutes, since mine burnt on the bottom.
