Loved all the spices! I don't really like raisins, so I used dried cranberries instead. Excellent!

These cookies were absolutely amazing! The brown butter icing was a surprisingly delightful topping to already quite tasty cookies. They were a huge hit with my family. (I substituted butter for Crisco.

These are the best oat meal cookies I have ever made. Lost the recipe and need a new copy.

interesting...on one hand you have reviews that state they have flat cookies...on the other hand you have those that had "muffin top" cookies. Plop me into the muffin top cookie category. These were not chewy - they were very floury and puffy. The allspice is def. overpowering...Such a waste of ingred. I know these will get nibbled on - but I'll end up tossing the majority. btw...what "good" cookie needs a frosting to make them uber-yummy??

Super good, the icing is definitely worth a few minutes extra effort. I lost track of how many this made, but probably more like 9 dozen using a standard cookie scoop, and there was plenty of icing for the whole big old batch. They seem to taste better the next day and stay nice and chewy.
