    Delicious, easy cookie! I did use old-fashioned oatmeal, but I chopped it up a little in the food processor before adding it to the bowl. I also used pomegranate flavored Craisins, as I didn't have any raisins. I only needed about half of the glaze, so I think you could halve the glaze recipe. The glaze makes these cookies extra tasty.

    These Cookies have been my lifelong favorite; and I'm a Senior Citizen now. My Mother made them, my first wife, my current wife, and I've made them myself. If you loose the Cinnamon, Ginger, and the Icing. The recipe can be found in a 1940's Spry Cookbook as Rob Roy Cookies. Thank you Paula for this recipe. The biggest mistake with these Cookies is to overcook them. Then they become hard, dry, and crumbly. I leave them on the cookie sheet over the through burner to finish cooking them. Just a tiny bit of brown around the edges is all you need.

    These cookies are amazing. They are yummy, moist, & cake like. Make sure to brown the butter. Yum frosting! Pretty too.

    I followed this recipe exactly. I did like the flavor and spice of this cookie. The cookies stayed in the exact ball that they started as and they were very dry. They broke apart as you took a bite. I would not recommend this.

    These cookies are delicious and very easy to make. The recipe doesn't make a ton of cookies. The browned butter is what really makes them excellent.

    My family loves these cookies! I substituted the raisins for dried montmorency cherries with wonderful results...also makes them a little more festive! Enjoyed. ;

    I have not had luck using regular oatmeal when the recipe calls for quick cooking. It seems like it doesn't cook enough in the dough.

    These turned out so flavorful! I pulled a stupid though. I had the brown sugar out and still turned and used regular white. No prob... I just added about 1T dark molasses and a punch of flavor came out with it! Love it!

    I love this recipe. It has so much flavor! Tweaked it a bit... add half raisins and half dried cranberries. Also added 1/3 Tablespoon of Cinnamon, Nutmeg, and Ginger instead of 1/2 teaspoon. TOTAL SUCCESS
