I took this recipe and made it my own, I made homemade graham cracker crust and used snickers as the candy bar....
This is a dangerously good recipe!!! It's what's for dinner :P

Really yummy! The glaze wasn't enough to cover the entire cake, but it was still delicious!

Absolutely DELICIOUS!!!! I'm not even a german chocolate cake fan, but this was just too good. My hubby's fave is German Chocolate and he absolutely LOVED it; and it is so easy to make. Next time I will try it with a bunt pan and with no "dollups".... I LOVE PAULA!!!! p.s. I used vanilla extract instead of almond in the glaze and it tasted grreat! Not sure if it would even make that big of a difference.

YUM! I made it for my husband's birthday. Traditionally we have had german chocolate cake. I made it the night before and warmed it before serving with butter pecan ice cream... it was incredible! Yum! New tradition..!

This cake sounds and looks wonderful! I would like to make it for a co-workers birthday soon, and she is a chocolate and peanut butter lover. Could someone tell me how this recipe would work with peanut butter cups and replacing half or all of the butter with peanut butter? Also, should I replace the almond extract with vanilla extract in the glaze? Thank you!

The flavors were great, but the cake was soupy in the middle. I put it back in the oven, but it didn't firm up. I was worried the edges would get over done. I used 8 oz of cream cheese. I made it for a neighborhood party. I should know better than to try a new recipe for an event. I am going to try and make it again with less cream cheese.

This cake is super decadent and really really tasty, but mine didn't turn out very aesthetically pleasing, as I neglected to evenly distribute the dollops of the cream--there was more than you'd expect, and I used larger than just dollps. The cream sank in, but the cake didn't cover, so it ended up looking more like moguls than a flat cake on top. Then I just poured the glaze over rather than spreading it, and even though it was amazing, it definitely looked more like bread pudding than a cake. So, note: space cream evenly and in small dollops for a prettier final product.

I made this cake for my husbands birthday and it was a hit! There were no left overs and it was very easy to make! I used mini peanut butter cups.
