The people I served this to loved it. I thought it was ok, but the topping was too mushy for my taste. Also, there is a lot of liquid with the peaches.
I replaced sugar with Splenda, and nobody knew.

I was looking for an easy recipe for cobbler and do believe I have found it. The recipe was very easy to follow and turned out wonderful. My husband really enjoyed it. I can't wait to try this with other fruit (blueberries, rasberries, strawberries mixture. I'm also going to try chocolate chips. The texture of the cobbler is similar to bread pudding. It's really good.

I was craving something sweet and I'd never made any of Paula's recipes so I went for it. I couldn't believe how easy this was to make. Don't let the lack of ingredients or time required to make this detract from how delicious it is.
I don't think the recipe indicates what size pan to use though--I found a mid-sized casserole to be perfect--the filling went right up to the top and the dough puffed up beautifully while the filling got nice & bubbly!
Now I just can't wait to make her Sour Cream Pound Cake!

This is a fantasticly delicious and easy cobbler. I've made it several times with peaches and it has always been a hit. This last time I used the same method for the butter and batter, but substituted 2 pints fresh blueberries mixed with 1 cup (approx sugar, the zest of one lemon and 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice. I also added 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract to the batter....it was a big "ta da" at our family party.
