    Made Some Changes to start..

Rated: 3 stars out of 5
I have never made a Peanut Butter bread before so I felt excited but also very Challenged after reading the reviews!! I have... baked a lot and usually I feel some reviews (impossible to know which ones?) can be overlooked perhaps to people not following the recipe etc (not in this case it seems). Anyhow I felt it needed some changes before I even tried the recipe mentioned. I did add a slight more peanut butter, and a tsp of honey. I also straight off the bat did add more sugar. I also followed previous advice mentioned in more than 1 review about baking for less time about 10 mins. Oh any yes I almost forgot I used only 3 tsp Baking Powder. I did also check with cake tester. The End Result: Honestly I tried it with and without Jam , and definetly better with. It was very moist, and really not awful to eat in any real way. I guess I avoided the Dry yuck some people have said it to be. The other thing was mixing, I wanted to mix as little as possible, to avoid toughness etc, so I mixed some milk in with Peanut Butter first to soften more. It mixed in quite fast and smooth. I wonder how others have faired with the mixing of Ingredients?? Will I make again, yes but not Paula's recipe..Sorry Paula I am a fan of yours. What Happened here?Read more

This was dry and crumbly and tasted like baking powder. Paula, I'm disappointed. Definitely will not be making this one... again.Read more

    Never again

Rated: 1 stars out of 5
I love Paula..saw the show and thought I have to make this for my peanut butter loving family. My question is "where is the... peanut butter"? It had a horrible taste. Needed more sugar less baking powder. The kids, who love, love, love their peanut butter did not like this at all. I followed the recipe except at the very end added some chocolate chips to the top of the bread. I will not make this again. Sorry Paula :(Read more

    Really good bread

Rated: 4 stars out of 5
We really liked this bread. We changed the peanut butter to 1 cup of name brand peanut butter and added a 1/2 cup of... butterscotch pieces. It took a little longer to bake than expected. I think next time we will try it in a cake pan instead. Overall everyone really liked this bread and we will definetly be making it again.Read more

    Pretty Good Bread

I followed the basic recipe, but added pumpkin pie spice, Nutella, honey, and some banana slices on top. It could have been... better, but definitely worth the effort. Great with blackberry jam,Read more
