This is good! It is a different flavor than I expected. I added chocolate chunks the first time I made it. My kids loved it! I think it does need more sugar if you don't intend to serve it with jam. Jam is sweet so if you intend to serve it as she mentioned I would not change it. Honey might even be a good addition.

I thought this recipe turned out great the first time I made it. The second time I added a swirl of Strawberry Jam...absolutely delicious. It even recieved a seal of approval from my boyfriend's 8 year old son :

I love Paula Deen, but this wasn't that good. It didn't have much taste. After reading some of these reviews, I agree that I was thinking some of the same things. Decrease the baking powder, increase sugar, maybe add some cinnamon and vanilla, and use really good quality peanut butter.

I made a few changes-I used 1 1/2 c sugar instead of 1/2. To the dry ingredients I added 1/2 tsp pumpkin spice and a 1/2tsp nutmeg. Next time I'll omit the pumpkin spice and use cinaminon instead. I also used 2tsp of baking powder-4tsp is way too much. To the wet ingredients I added 1 tsp of vanillia. It took well over an hour to cook-the middle just would not cook. The outside is a little burnt, but the inside is nice and moist. Not a bad recipe overall, with a little more tweaking it has some potential.

Pb bread need yeast to rise it is way to dense. This recipe is a disaster. I make this bread daily at work and it is still dense after proofing. Using baking powder with this few ingredients will leave a metallic taste in your mouth.
