Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound sliced easy-melt cheese (recommended: Velveeta)
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 2 (16-ounce) boxes confectioners' sugar

Directions

Lightly spray the bottom of a 9 by 2-inch square pan with nonstick cooking spray. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt cheese and butter together, then add peanut butter and stir until smooth. Remove from heat and add vanilla and nuts.

Empty confectioners' sugar into a large bowl and pour cheese mixture over sugar. Stir until completely mixed. Candy will be very stiff.

Using your hands, remove candy from the bowl and press evenly and firmly into the pan. Because of the amount of butter in this recipe, pat top of candy with a paper towel to remove excess oil. Place the pan in refrigerator until candy is firm.

To serve, cut into squares.

So yummy but eat only two or three pieces at a time!

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
This recipe was way good. Very tasty but it has so much flavor that you could get easily sick of it. LOL So I recommend... wating two or three pieces with a glass of milk. It really hits the spot! Oh and when you stick it in the fridge you may have to dry the top part a few times with paper towel cuz the butter kinda makes it all greasy. But other than that it rocks!Read more

    Crazy Good

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
The whole time I was making this I kept shaking my head thinking how this would never work. Who am I to question Paula Deen?... This is awesome and so easy. Of course, I don't tell people it has velvetta in it. On the show, Paula mixes the cheese/butter mixture into the sugar with her hands which I found much easier. The mixture is hot, so be careful. I buttered my hands, which helped. On the show she also recommended you melt the cheese first, then add the butter. This fudge will definitely be on my holiday platter from now on.Read more
