I made these this morning and took everyone's advice... I added a little cinnamon and a tsp of vanilla into the mixture before baking... baked on a parchment paper lined pan, sprayed with cooking spray... stirred them halfway through baking time... only baked for approx 18 mins... and sprinkled them with white sugar after they came out of the oven. They are perfect!!! Yummm!

Watch them carefully, but they're absolutely divine! I make these year after year, give them away as gifts, and bring them to holiday parties, and they never fail to disappear. There are always comments about how decadently delicious they are, so one word of advice: make LOTS of them! Enjoy!!!

These were delicious, and very easy! I stirred them more than once and only ended up baking them for about 22 minutes. I think they'd be fun to add more spices to change the flavor, or a little bit of maple flavoring just to add some new interest. yum.

I LOVE THIS RECIPE!! I have made these candied Pecans for Christmas gifts, and everyone just loves them. The recipe is easy enough to follow, and you don't need a candy thermometer, or know what "stage" to get the sugar up to, etc. Just as long as you keep an eye on them while they are in the oven, you are good to go. I also have added cinnamon and vanilla.

Great Recipe. I too added a little vanilla in the mix and also sprinkled a little sugar and cinnamon when they first came out of the oven.
I used a baking sheet with parchment paper - worked perfect - and just threw away the paper when they were done!!
