I have been making this recipe for the past several holiday seasons, and it's always a hit. Substitute a bag of Heath toffee chips for the almond brickle (it's the same thing...with a brand name and you'll be fine. I also recommend buying a bag of pecan "cookie pieces". It saves the chopping time, and they're the perfect size for this recipe. Every oven is different, so watch the first batch carefully and adjust the bake time accordingly. (My oven only takes 18 minutes. Unless you're using non-stick pans, you'll definitely want to spray them. Cool for a few minutes, and with a simple twist they should pop right out!

I just wasted a lot of money attempting to make these tassies. My first batch would not come out of the muffin tins. They were completely ruined due to the recipe not stating to spray or grease the pan. Grease the pan! My second batch, I cooked HALF the time that was stated (about 13 minutes and they are completely black around the rims and taste burnt! Paula, please check the recipe!

I made this recipe just for fun and it was worth it!!! Everyone loved it plus, it was super easy. The only change I did was to use a box of 15 Fillo Mini Shells because I only had 1 pie crust. It was soooo much easier and I will use these shells next time. It may be a little more expensive but it came out prettier in and out of the pan!!!

As most people have, I had the problem with trying to find toffee bits, last year I had no problem, but my local grocery store where I found them last year didn't order them this year. Instead all I found was caramel bits, used for making caramel apples. It still came out amazing, and everyone LOVED it! So instead of the 10 oz of toffee i used about 7 oz of caramel and just bumped up the pecans to make it equal out the same. AMAZING, if you can't find toffee bits try this!

These came out soooo good and it was sooo easy to make. Along with other users, I used regular muffing tins and used heath toffee bits with chocolate chips. I can't wait for another holiday or excuse to make these again.

This is a very easy recipe. But I like them in a little bit bigger muffin pan. It makes them not so chewy and of course bigger. You'll get about 28 to 30 insted of 48. They are yummy!!!

I am a very picky baker - I am almost never satisfied with my desserts for one reason or another. But this one was AWESOME!!! I baked for 16 minutes and used the Heath toffee chips instead of almond brickle. They were gone really quickly - I had to pull myself away to keep from eating them all in one night. I will DEFINITELY be making these again.

Once I found a good substitute for almond brickle chips everything turned out fantastic. Everyone loved them at my grandfather's b-day bash! I will definately make them again and probably use them for my christmas cookie batch.
