I am anxious to make this recipe however can anyone tell me how long the bark can be stored in containers or cellophane bags? I would like to give these out as xmas gifts and need to know how long these will stay fresh and edible?

I've tried it this way and it's delicious. I've also tried it with vanilla flavored almond bark and I noticed that it melt easier, smoother, and it's just as flavorful and sweet but not as heavy. So if white chocolate is a little too rich, you could try it this way instead. Either way, they're both quick and yummy!!!!

This is the perfect food gift at this time of year. It's delicious, quick and easy to make.
I was in WIlliams-Sonoma last weekend and they are selling peppermint bark for some ridiculous price. No thanks!
(They did have a great recipe idea though.. fresh baked brownies sprinkled with peppermint bark while still hot. Let it melt and then "frost" the brownie with the melted bark. Heaven!

My mother received this as a gift a year ago this time of year when she was in the hospital... It was so delicious! It is such a nice treat for this time of year. So I looked for the recipe but I noticed they are all different . I still went with Paula because she is so amazing ! : But we had a thin layer of milk chocolate on bottom too. I suggest that while making it. Just put the chocolate down first and then continue the recipe.
The TASTIEST TREAT for the holidays !

I have made this for the past four years to give as a holiday gift. The recipe is simple to make and the praise afterwords is worth while. Thanks, Paula for down to earth, fun loving ways to make people happy with food for the soul.

Paula, I made this last Christmas, so easy and so delicious. This was a big hit with my family and all of my friends. Like you I feel llike a gift from the kitchen is a gift from the heart. Thank you keep up the good work I love you and your shows. Hope the boys are going to be doing more of Road Tasted or another similar cooking show, I just love them, too. Diana from Chicago

I was looking for easy candy recipes to give out as gifts and happened to try this one. It was SO incredibly easy and tasty. I would definitely watch the amount of peppermint extract that you put in, a little goes a long way.
