Each Christmas, I make up "goody tins" for friends and family. I do occasionally like to include new items and this one was definitely a hit. It was an unexpected taste surprise and many recipients have asked for the recipe. It is an easy and refreshing change of pace for the holidays...and a good use of candy canes. Thanks again Paula!

I made one batch of this recipe and it was so popular, before the holidays were over I had made it at least 5 times. It makes a great hostess gift (package it with some ribbon!. The peppermint extract is key--don't skip it! I've started drizzling melted dark chocolate over half of it before putting in the refrigerator as there are some people in my family who really like the bitter chocolate to cut the sweetness. Just drag a knife over the chocolate drizzels to make a pretty marble pattern.

Thats all I can say about it. I did substitutions and used the soft candy cane sticks and the chocolate bark w/ one bag morsles. It was a great Christmas gift.
Thanks,
Chelsea

Great success with this treat and my college senior son loved helping make this candy as a stocking stuffer with me. That's a double pleasing recipe for me. Thanks... from a transplanted Georgia Peach.

The bark is delicious and so easy to make! Drizzling a little melted dark chocolate over the top of the bark adds a special touch. Highly recommended!

What a great recipe! I drizzled a little bit of melted dark chocolate and red sugar crystals over the top of it before refrigerating. It looked and tasted AMAZING! My family is sure to be impressed!

I set out to make this for my daughter's teacher for Christmas. It was so easy to prepare and it tastes great. I so love Paula Deen and her great recipes.
