What a GREAT recipe! A new favorite, for sure! Not only is it so easy, it is so quick and easy to clean up after. There's only one bowl to clean! The peppermint extract adds just the right amount of flavor to the chocolate, and the peppermint candies are a fun treat. I was worried about biting into them, but they break very easily.

Such an easy recipe and so very tasty! Made this today and it's a major hit with my family! Like many others, I added 1/4tsp peppermint extract. It's a must try in my book.

    Great recipe. Very versatile.
It looks great with the red/green striped candy canes, too. Very festive.
Please note: there is a HUGE difference between the white "chocolate" chips, like Nestles and Ghiradelli. Those are NOT white chocolate...they are flavored chips.
The best flavor comes from using real white chocolate!
When in doubt, read the package. If you don't see the word "cocoa" or "chocolate" in the ingredients, you are using an artificially flavored product.

This peppermint bark is great. I made 1 lb with 1/4 tsp peppermint extract, then sprinkled crushed candy canes on top. Everyone loved it. I'll definitely make this again.

I make these every year and bring to holiday parties. Kids and adults can't stop eating them! I make a layer of bittersweet chocolate and a layer of white chocolate and add 1/2 tsp of peppermint extract to the white chocolate. I have never had a problem making this recipe and it is to die for!

Tasty? What did you think? This bark is so good! Definately use the peppermint extract. I am going to also spread the chocolate first before I add the peppermint pieces. The chocolate was harder to spread with the peppermint pieces already added and I think it will look prettier. Also, make sure you don't overheat the white chocolate or it will sieze and be useless.

Delicious and super-easy! This is kind of a non-recipe, but.. why not? I love it with semi-sweet chocolate too.
