Made this to accompany our Christmas Dinner dessert and everyone said it was the best coffee ever! I couldn't find peppermint syrup so I used two small candy canes (kept them in their cellophane wrappers, placed in a ziplock bag and smashed them with a mallet per cup of coffee. Delicious!!

I want to try this really bad! and I agree with MLM216- stoneymb, if she's making it for herself, why do you care if she licks her finger and then uses it again? And, even if it's for her own family, and they don't mind, I don't see any problem with it! Sorry, I was not here to say only that, but to also review the recipe. I love the combination of chocolate and peppermint, and adding coffee is genius! This is definitely something to try with a small dessert in the winter, and it's sure to warm you up!

Geez, Louise stoneymb, are you the friggin' Health Department!? Doesn't take much to get your knickers in a wad....lighten up! Don't you allow tasting in your kitchen or are you there with the hand sanitizer, pumping it every 3 seconds!?
The recipe looks yummy, Ms. Paula....dare I say FINGER LICKIN' YUMMY? LOL

I can't believe you did that , on live TV. You pushed the whipped cream of the spoon, licked that finger then pushed the next spoon off with the same finger without washing. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOh

Great twist on a cup of Joe! I usually use flavored creamer and this gives me an alternative and I can adjust the amount of peppermint if I want....
