Marinading a filet is a sin, but to then add steak sauce is just preposterous. This recipe is horrible. Do yourself a favor: do not marinade your filet. Simply remove it from the fridge, wrap it in bacon, maybe - just maybe - hit it with a little pepper, grill it, let it sit for at least 5-10 minutes, and enjoy without any condiments.

Tried this recipe as my very first Filet Mignon ever. It wasnt bad but I think I'll try at differnet recipe next time. Wasn't overly crazy with the Italian dressing taste

I love Filet Mignon and this recipe made it so much better. I didn't marinate the steaks for as long as it said to, which I think was better. I grilled it for 8 minutes on each side and the inside of the steak was perfect, as well as the bacon around it. I will definitely be making this again!! I served it with steamed cauliflower and garlic mashed potatoes.

I wasn't big on the Italian Dressing "tangy" flavor imparted on the filets, I would have rather not used the marinade. We used A1 to baste, and that was good. Served it with Paula's Creamed Spinach and Garlic Mashed Potatoes. Great Dinner overall!

Extremely WONDERFULL!!! it was the best dinner ever.. We marinated the fillets in Italian dressing as called for but then we added some Crown Royal to the marinade.. Let it marinate for 6 hours then cooked on charcoal grill.. Had Baked Acorn Squash with butter and brown sugar, and homany.. and for dessert we had Pumpkin Vanilla Flan with carmel sauce.. LOVED IT!! it was absolutly AMAZING! Must Try!!!

This is a delicious recipe! You might want to think about using Paula's own steak sauce which can be found at Wal-Mart. If your local Wal-Mart does not have it in stock, then ask them to order for you, site-to-store, no shipping. Many of Paula's sauces can be purchased at Wal-Mart, or at least they can be purchased at my local Wal-Mart. I've also asked other grocery stores to carry her products.

I, especially, love her Smoky Apple Cinnamon Sauce (which she uses to prepare her meatloaf! Oh, my gosh! It's so delicious. We won't eat meatloaf any other way now!

This recipe is great. I've made it several times. FYI- stoneymb_9810123 from Baltimore is just a hater. Most of this person's reviews are meerly rants and have nothing to do with the recipe being reviews. This person has nothing better to do than to moan about the hosts of Food Network.

I plan on fixing this on Labor Day for guests. I sent my husband out to the store to pick up Paula's preferred steak sauce, Lee & Perris, and it appears that no one carries it. I went to the Lee & Perris website only to find out that they do not even make a steak sauce. Did anyone else notice this? What kind of steak sauce did you guys use when you made this recipe?
