Thanks Paula! Would never had thought of marinating Filet's in Italian dressing. I've made it twice. The second time, I added 1-1/2 ounces of good Brandy to the marinate....talk about steak to die for !!!

I will never make steak any other way, ever again. Filet can be pricey, but it is sooooo worth it. We aren't big steak eaters, but this was outstanding. So tender and juicy. I made Tyler Florences mashed potatoes and green beans, tomato and onions on the side. Excellent!

I have been experimenting with filet mignon... and this by far has been the best. I left out the steak sauce and the steak was still very tender and flavorful.

Just a wonderful recipe with great taste and flavors. The bacon wrapped around the meat is a bonus of flavor!

Thanks for another good one Paula. This was really good. I cooked mine on an outdoor gas grill and still came out good. About 9 minutes per side for med-well done.

Simple and delicious!! A meat lover's dream! I could not get over how tender these cuts stayed on the grill. I cooked on a VERY low flame, and probably longer than I should have, but the overall hickory flavor from the wood chips made these cuts over-the-top!!

This was by far the best filet I have ever had. Take Paula's advise and only flip them once -- 8 minutes a side was perfect for medium. Next time I may do 7 minutes for a little more pinkness. Absolutely outstanding.
