This was my first time making popcorn balls and they were a hit! I made them for the office party I was hosting. I bought kettle popcorn bought from the local street fair and added honey roasted peanuts. I also bought disposable gloves to use while forming them. I wish my daughter was little again so I could make them for her halloween parties.

I just followed the recipe step by step, exactly, and as I poured the syrup mixture over the popcorn it all began to melt and disinigrated into one big mess. After it sat for a little while I tasted it and it was delicious. Unfortunately it's in no condition to share with anyone. Very dissapointing, too, for my two and four year olds who helped. I wish there were an addition to the recipe that said, " if this happened, here is what you did wrong."

First popcorn ball I have made (or had for that matter and they are Yummy! I halved the receipe and the kiddos loved them...I did butter my hands to mold and since I do not have a candy temp taker, I dropped a small ladle of boiling mixture in a glass of cold water, when it seperated into harden threads I knew it was ready to add the vanilla. (for me that took less then five minutes

I made these and they were great .but I added 3 teaspoon of real butter after I removed it from the heat. Place popcorn in a large dish , start on eather end , add syrup mixture slowly , mix with a large spoon that had been spreyed with a nonstick spray or butter, then turn pan and do the same at the other end untill all popcorn is coated, butter your hands then roll out the popcorn balls,
I but plactic wrap around each popcorn ball. the next day all the ingerentants had married and the popcorn was melt in your mouth, every one loved them
