Tasty - simple. I have had some bad luck with some other popover recipe's but this one worked Fabulous.
    Thank you Paula Deen.

For all those cooks who think the temp it too high, it is not. You could check to ensure that your oven temp is correct. They are supposed to be a nice brown. I have never made them in a hot pan, but that may work. You need a hot oven so that they puff up and make a big hallow popover.

These popovers were very doughy on the inside, rather than sort of hollow and fill-able (you can't fill something already filled and the texture was wonderful on the outside, but very unappetizing on the inside. I am under the impression that these should have been baked at a slightly lower temperature and possibly started with an already greased and hot pan.

this was a terrible popover recipe. I did it exactly as directed and they didn't 'pop' over. they were really dense and we didnt eat them because they were gross and doughy. I've made popevers before and this is by far the worst. sorry.

These turned out really well, and they were a perfect quick addition to dinner. Mine made 16 instead of 12. Also, they were very brown at 28 minutes - next time, probably 26 minutes would be plenty.

I have made these too many times to count. I use the directions from Paula's cookbook "The Lady & Sons, Too". The directions state to place the filled muffin pan on the rack in the center of the cold oven, set temp to 450, and bake for 30 minutes without peeking. They come out perfect every time.

My grandmother always put the muffin tins in the oven and got them very hot before she put the batter in. She cooked them at 400. They always came out delicious.

I love that this recipe was quick & easy, BUT at the recommended temperature my popovers burned & were not fully cooked on the inside! I divided the batter & both times I made them, I got the same results! I'm really disappointed, but I think I'll try it again at a lower temperature.

These were great!!! Followed the instructions and found my popovers perfect at only 24 minutes so keep watch! Also, I used a lot of butter to grease the muffin tins to get a little butter flavor.

I pre-made the batter at home and baked them at a friend's house. It was my first time to make them and they came out a little over done... not my oven, so it may have been a little "off." Never-the-less, they were delicious. I plan to use this recipe again. P.S. Great with honey!
