This is soooooooo good. OMG, the gravy is so good. I did not have a 3 lb roast, I only had 1 1/2 lb and I also did not use the wine because I did not have any in stock but I did use everything else. What I did do was add a little flour to thicken up the gravy at the end. Next time I make it I will have a bigger roast for leftovers because it is so good. Paula girl this is a keeper in my book. Can't wait to try more of your recipes. Thanks for a good dinner!!!!!!

This recipe is phenomenal. My pot roast was sooo flavorful and more importantly sooo tender! I added some baby carrots and mushrooms to the crock pot for the last hr or so of cooking. It was incredible! Thanks Paula :o

Okay, I don't know where some of these reviews are coming from but this is an excellent recipe! I only made a couple of changes and it was the best Pot Roast I've eaten (my sister, too!! I used a beef round bottom roast, used 3t of beef BISTO instead of bullion and did not add any water. Yummy! Really. Oh, and I added carrots the last 2 hours.

Loved this recipe! I cooked slow on the stove for the first part and then transferred to the crockpot, it still turned out wonderful..very tender and tasty!!!! Once again...Paula took the ordinary and made it EXtra.........nice!

I made this recipe the first time I saw the episode about 7 years ago. It has become a family favorite it is part of my Christmas dinner. My kids who are now grown expects it when they come to visit.

This turned out great. I used cooking sherry instead of wine. I thought it was very flavorful however I didn't add alot of water to cover the whole roast (it would have been too soupy Next time I will add more veggies and some potatoes. Very easy recipe; I had all the ingredients at home! I will make again

IM A SOUTHERN COOKER I JUST ADDED A LITTLE MORE FLAVOR TO THE RECIPE, WHICH MEANT TO DOUBLE THE BOUILLION AND CREAM OF MUSHROOM AND THE ROAST WAS SO GOOD MY MOTHER COULD NOT STOP EATING IT.

I wasn't too impressed with this dish. It was a very easy recipe to follow, but I thought it lacked flavor. On the other hand, my husband thought it was very good. I probably will not make this again.

I've made this a few times and each time it's lacked flavor. While it's cooking all day it makes your house smell very good and each time I think it's going to taste just as good, but it always falls way short.
