This was a very good dinner for my family. I was so suprised how tender the beef got. I did put in some carrots so my kids will get a tender vegetable with their meal. My picky toddler ate it! My only complaint about this recipe is the amount of liquid that's in this recipe. I think it would be just fine with maybe 1/4 - 1/2 less of the required amount of water (doesn't need to cover the meat. Also, I did make a separate thicker rue/gravy with flour on the stove. Next time I would use cornstarch with the cooked juices since the flour was kinda clumpy.

I make this roast a couple of times a month for my family and they absolutely LOVE it. Right before serving I ladle out some of the wonderful broth and thicken it on the stove to make a delicious gravy.

This recipe was easy and the meat was really tender. However, I like my husband's roast beef better. I would doctor it up with some liquid smoke, worchestire sauce and use beef broth.

We enjoyed this dish very much; very tender, flavorful, easy preparation. I am, however, used to pot roast being accompanied by root vegetables, i.e. carrots, potatoes, etc. Would have liked to see them included. But this was a wonderful recipe for the roast itself.

This recipe was alright. It wasn't my favorite, but it wasn't bad either. The meat was very tender. I usually like mine a little more seasoned than this.

THIS IS A GREAT RECIPE. FAST TO PREPARE THEN WHEN YOU GET HOME IT IS READY TO EAT! LOTS OF FLAVOR AND FALSS APART.
THE GUY WHO RATED IT A 1 AND NO FLAVOR MUST HAVE DONE SOMETHING WRONG BECAUSE IT IS FULL OF FLAVOR.
