The gravy was thick and delicious. I let it cook all day and served with baked potatoes. Highly recommended.

This is an excellent way to prepare a pot roast in your slow cooker. It's easy to prepare and the flavor is wonderful; in fact, I used this same recipe to make beef stew for my Wednesday night dinner with my granddaughter. She gobbled it up!!!
Thanks Paula, you really know how to make things easy for a busy life style.

This is the best I have ever made, the taste is out of this world. I have stuck to this way of making my pot roast.

This is the perfect dinner for working parents with busy schedules and hungry boys (or girls. With the right cut of beef roast - and I recommend you go with the Chuck - this recipe produces a simple, hearty, and fall apart tender main dish, perfect for hearty appetites. We have enjoyed this pot roast at least once a week since I saw the recipe on TV, and it has quickly become a family favorite comfort food.

    Bravo, Paula!

This was my first pot roast in a crock pot since I have been married. My whole family loved it, it looked exactly like the picture and tasted top notch. I will be making this for the rest of my married life. It was excellent for a cold rainy day.

Good recipe although I found the bay leaves a bit overpowering. Next time I will use only one instead of the 3 that the recipe calls for.
