Great recipe, but like the others, I cut way back on the salt.

I agree that this is super tasty~ BUT do not add all of the salt mentioned in the recipe. Thanks to fellow reviews, I omitted the extra tsp. and we still felt it was a little too salty (and I love salt. Next time I will be using sodium free mushroom soup & cutting out some of the salt in her House Recipe rather than taking out the bouillon. (Yes, it really was that salty. Trust me.
I put fingerling potatoes and carrots in with it from the beginning. Still soooooo good!

I read the previous reviews and did omit the beef bouillon granules and a little salt because I was afraid that it might be too salty. It came out so perfect! I also added veggies in the last hour. DELISH!

I made this recipe today and it was the best pot roast ever. I added mushroom, potatoes, and carrots. My kids and husband loved it. I will add this recipe to my collection.

Best pot roast ever! Easy to make & very tender meat. It was a little salty so may want to cut down the salt a bit. I cooked for 2 1/2 hrs. Made with mashed potates, carrots & dinner rolls. This will be my Go-To Pot Roast! This will also feed a lot of people.

My family loved this, it was super easy to make (even for a vegetarian like me. I did change up the recipe a little instead of onions I used mushrooms and I used the garlic very sparingly just because of taste preferences in my house and it went over very well, we have a new New Years Day tradition!

This was my first attempt at pot roast and it did not dissapoint. I followed the recipe but omitted the salt rub as per previous complaints about the meat being too salty. I also cooked in my crock pot on low for 8 hours and added potatoes and carrots to cook with the meat. The gravy/sauce was delicious and the meat was falling apart it was so tender. Thanks for the great recipe Paula!

GREAT TIME O' DAY! The best pot roast recipe ever! I used 1 cup of beef broth instead of the boullion and water and a bit more wine than the recipe calls for. I am compiling recipes for my kids as they go out into the world on their own, and this will surely be included. Thanks, Paula!

I made this for my family for Christmas dinner. I used three 4lb chuck roasts in a 18qt. electric roaster & added potatoes and carrots. Absolutely delicious!! We ate the leftover meat the next day as sandwiches & it was excellent. This recipe is definetly a 'keeper'.
