My family loves this pot roast, even my picky eaters! I through it in the oven and let it go all day and it is so tender and juicy. Thanks Paula!

Thoroughly enjoyed this recipe. The best roast beef I've ever made (and my roast beef was pretty good!. Would highly recommend. Made no changes except in the cooking time. Found it was plenty done after 2 hours.

I used to think that pot roast was an evil, dried out bad childhood memory with cooked carrots (yuck!. Paula has made a convert out of me with this recipe and my husband is so happy. We love it and the mashed rutabega from the same episode is great also. After I made it the first time I reheated the meat and added fresh green salsa and we had great shredded beef burritos. Thanks Paula, this one is a home run.

This is an awsome recipe. Paula has pulled it off yet again. I made this for New Year's dinner and everyone agreed this had to be the best pot roast anyone has had! I didn't use quite as much salt as Paula called for, as we don't eat a lot of it and it was perfect. One of my sides was mashed potatoes and there wasn't quite enough gravy for the potatoes and the meat. So, if I make it again, I think I will double the gravy ingredients. Otherwise, a superb and pleasing comfort meal!

Very, very good! Only thing I would do differently is use less salt, if any. I do not salt a lot. Bouillon is salty and the soup is already salty. For me.. less salt.. but awesome recipe!

Easy to make and tasty. Also easy to make in a crock pot. Throw everything in and turn it on low before you go to work. When you get home, add some veggies for another hour or so and you are good to go!

I've made this pot roast twice and it's been a huge hit both times. The second round, I eliminated the bouillon to keep the sodium level lower. I also added LOTS of carrots and a few potatoes. I served it with a big salad, mashed potatoes and garlic bread. Everyone cleaned his/her plate and raved about dinner. This pot roast was a "home run" at our house. Paula, your recipes are always easy and delicious and I can't tell you how much I appreciate that.
