    i have made this casserole for a couple of dinner parties i had and it is always a hit. everyone always comments on how much they like it. I am making it for easter dinner because even the kids like it as much as regular mashed.

    I love this dish because of the different textures, and the color the pepper adds. It is a big hit at church.

    This was just dellicious, especially paired with Paula's beef stew. I did use light sour cream, which didn't seem to hurt in any way. I also remembered to put one cheese layer on top of the sauteed vegetables, which Paula evidently forgot to mention in her recipe and admits to having forgotten to do on the show. I'll be making this one often!

    made this for christmas dinner and there were no leftovers. my air force grandson stayed at the table after we were through eating and finished the rest of the casserole.
    thank you for what will be a family tradition christmas dish.

    I made this to go over to some friends house for dinner and everybody loved it, had seconds, made it again that same week for my family same response, but I put more sour cream in my husband liked it better the first time better he is not a sourcream fan... but very good, 2nd time cheated some bought countrycrock mashed(garlic and used them...shhhh.
