I made this dish for my family last night and it was a complete hit!!! I used onions, mushrooms and garlic instead of the peppers and it turned out great! This dish is going to become a usual in our house!

This tasted ok but the sour cream looked almost curdled.

Everyone has already said it all. THAT good, and versatile! Out of green peppers? Try mushrooms. Have leftover mashers but no cooked potatoes for slicing? Shredded uncooked came out great for me. So, So GOOD!

This recipe looks really good, but when I watched her dish it out (I didn't see her make it, the potatoes didn't look like they were mashed, but sliced. The recipe calls for mashed, so I am confused. I even went back and watched this again and they are sliced potatoes.

I always use instant mashed potatoes. Did anyone use the instant potatoe or did you make your own. For the sliced potato, did you boil it whole or in pieces. I would love to make this recipe this weekend.

Ok, yes, you can cut a little back on the butter. But whatever- this is quite fantastic!!! 2 thumbs up!

I LOVED this dish. For me, you can't go wrong with potatoes and cheese....and this doesn't disappoint! I made this for a potluck meal, and it was the first dish to be devoured. I don't eat bacon, so I sprinkled those crispy onion rings on top after it was done baking (the ones that go on top of a green bean casserole so I'd still get that salty, crispy bite and it was so good! I'm making it again this weekend....can't wait!

Oh get over yourself!!!! You know that Paula cooks with lots of butter. I made this and cut the butter down to 2 T. and just a sprinkle of cheese. Still great flavor!
You are not suppose to eat the whole casserole!!! As a side dish it is awesome!!
Keep the good stuff coming Paula!!!!

This dish was fantastic!!!! My husband and daughter both loved it. Yes there may be alot of butter and cheese but nobody is forcing you to eat it. So go complain somewhere else please because we don't want to hear it.
