I love this recipe! I made it 4x already over the holiday and the kids loved it! I also played with it and put about of teaspoon of nutmeg and it was still Delicious! I also warmed up the cream cheese frosting over a hot water bath to thin it out and then drizzled it over the cake and it was awesome!!

I decided to make these amazing little bars as a treat for my family and boyfriend and followed the recipe perfectly they came out so cute and the smell that they carried around the house was amazing. I did change one thing and i decided to make cupcakes instead of bars and they came out very moist, they are cake like not dense as expected. I would def make these again thanks Paula!!

Paula, first off, you are the sweetest, funniest, classiest cook I watch! I made this recipe EXACTLY how instructed and my 29 year daughter absolutely loved it! Told me, mom, that is one awesome cake, I felt it was more like a cake than bars too. I always seem to use my standby cream cheese frosting mixture anyways, and yes, it IS the perfect topping. Thanks for sharing it and thanks to Patty Ronning for sharing it with you. Happy tummies from Oahu, Hawaii! P.S. I forgot to add that I added chopped walnuts to the recipe and sprinkled it over the frosting. Bam!

This is definitely my go-to dessert for the holidays. I add toasted pecans, hazelnuts, almonds and cashews on top for a nice crunch. A definite crowd pleaser. Thank you Paula Deen for this recipe!
