I worked in restaurants for years so my cooking chops are pretty solid, but I've never been much of a baker. I made this at Thanksgiving last year, and it was a HUGE success!

The one thing the recipe doesn't include however, is a water bath. I did on the second time I made this cheesecake, and it came out so much better. If you don't know what a water bath is, look it up here on foodnetwork.com. You'll need to bump the cooking time up to 90 minutes.

I love Pumpkin Cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory, so I am sad when it goes out of season. I found this recipe a while back, and when I made it I was so surprised! It was soooo good! I am the onlt one in my house who likes Pumpkin, so I gave most of it to a friend, and she thought it was excellent! I will definitely make this again!

I don't even like pumpkin that that much and I had some doubts to it since it was a big thick cheesecake plus it cracked in the middle after taking it out of the oven, but covering it with homemade whip cream did the trick. A bit nervous serving this after a big thanksgiving dinner. But this cheesecake is sooo amazing. EVERYONE just absolutely loved it and even had seconds. They were impressed and so was I.

I usually think that cheesecake can be too thick and heavy so I changed the amount of cream cheese to 12 oz and added 4 oz of mascarpone cheese and 8 oz of ricotta cheese. My husband and I were speechless! It was so light, fluffy and mouselike. I've used this cheese combo in other cheesecake recipes and it works everytime:-

We love this recipe so much! We used to buy a pumpkin cheesecake for Christmas-but now we make this! It is so much better than anything we could buy. I don't even like cheesecake, but this is truly wonderful!

This is my favorite cheesecake! My oldest daughter does not even like pumpkin, but this is one of her favorite deserts! I too am an "old southern cook" and my girls and I LOVE Paula's recipes! It is a holiday tradition at our house.

I made this cheesecake at Christmas time and my family loved it! I love to bake and wanted to try this. When I made it, sadly it cracked:( I am reading reviews now and see many tried a waterbath, but my second attempt is in the oven now. I am making it for my husbands birthday. I hope this one doesn't crack, if so next time I'll do water bath.

My husband loves pumkin pie and I prefer cheesecake so this recipe seemed to be the perfect compromise for both of our tastebuds. I am an avid Paula Deen fan and purposely search for her recipes as I am not typically dissapointed. I read other reviews and added more cream cheese and baked for 50 minutes as recommended. We were less than thrilled about this combination. The flavors and textures left us in an almost there state... is it pie or is it cheesecake. I would probably try this recipe again and prepare it as directed just to make sure I didn't make the mistake in my additions, but as for this experience 2 slices were eaten and the rest was discarded after a few days in the refrigerator.

I recently "misplaced" my old recipe for pumpkin pie cheesecake and thought this one sounded good. I'll never look for my old recipe again, this cheesecake has it all, flavor and texture. I used real pumpkin, meaning not from a can. I find the flavor much better. Anyway this got thumbs up all around in my house and definately on the make again list. Pay no attention to those who didnt like the flavor of this cheesecake, obvioulsy thier taste buds have gone bad.

I made this for an after Thankgiving Holiday party at work, and people were hiding pieces to take home, it was a HUGE hit. I make cheesecake from scratch, quite a bit, and every year I try out a new recipe, this is one that I will make again.
