I made this the last 2 holidays.. I also added some praline pecans which made it even better. Very easy to make and very tasty. Yum

I made this for Thanksgiving and everyone loved it, especially my finicky father-in-law!! It was such a hit, I was asked to make it again for Christmas. This is a new favorite that will take a place on my holiday table for many years to come.

I served this at work as a test before serving it to my in-laws at my first Thanksgiving. It went great! It's not that sweet which appeals to most adults. You may want to add more brown sugar if serving to children, otherwise they'll just eat the whipped cream like the kids at my dinner did! :

I have made this recipe several times and gotten great comments from my friends and family. It is nice because it has traditional flavors, but is a different format. The quick version is good, but the last time I made it, I made most of the components from scratch (homemade vanilla pudding, homemade ginger bread, real whipped cream. That was by far the best work product...if you've got the time! Or, like me, you decide to make it after the store is closed, so you can't buy the premade mixes. :- Enjoy!

This dessert is beautiful, easy, and delicious. I've actually been making this a couple of years now also, just never found time to review it. My husband & son prefer it over pumpkin pie now, and pumpkin pie is my son's favorite! Me, I like the trifle better. If you make it ahead, the flavors marry better. Definitely a crowd recipe--makes plenty!

I actually had been making this for 2 years now and just NOW I have got on here to write a review.
My husband goes NUTS for this dessert! He never even thinks about pumpkin pie with this great dessert in front of him.

OMG! This desert was awesome and the rave for days. My guest could not believe how simple it was to make. The flavor is so rich, you would have thought it took hours to make. What was left over was divided into small glad throw aways and I shared it with my co-workers.

I would like to suggest grinding the cookies in a food processor instead of crumbling it. The cookies grinded makes a nice powdery substance that makes it easier to sprinkle over the whipped cream and make a very nice pattern.

I googled Thanksgiving Desserts to find something new and different for my In-Laws this year and came across this. Was as pretty as the picture and a total hit. I agree with the other reviews that said one gingerbread cake was enough. I could only find regular canned pumpkin but I followed the recipe as far as the sugar and spices on the can. The texture and everything was perfect. Was even better tasting the day after ! Thinking about trying it for Christmas Eve since my parents missed it due to being out of town. Love the idea about maybe using cheesecake flavored pudding .
