Took this to a casual dinner party.
All 3 guys preferred it to pumpkin
pie and the women loved it. We put
a dollup of commercial topping on top of each square with a couple of candy corns and a sprig of mint for garnish. All wanted the recipe which I had printed and taken, knowing they'd request it.

I tried this recipe last night. It was very easy to make. However, I tried to bake it in a 9" round pan. I know it was my mistake, but the bottom did get burnt by the time the top was "gooey" and not runny.
Even still, we thought the gooey mixture was a little too sweet. I will try this again, with less sugar.

If somebody that has already made this recipe reads this, please help me out!!
Do you use the other ingredients in the cake mix (oil, eggs??
In the peanut butter variation, do you add the butter, cinnamon, nutmeg and sugar as well???

I tried this recipe for Thanksgiving and it was such a big hit that I was asked to make it again for Christmas AND Easter. There are so many different versions that you can make this gooey cake that it can suit anyone's tastes and you will never get tired of it. I've already been asked to make it again for these upcoming holidays and will gladly do it. Recommend it to anyone who loves good food.

This is probably one of the best pumpkin recipes I have ever had. I have had it many times at her rest. in several of the variations, but his is the best.

I had this at someones house last year for thanksgiving an absolutely love it but trying to make it turned into a disaster! Is the cake supposed to be made with the ingredients on the box or only with the ingredients under this recipe???

This cake was delicious and very easy to make. I served it at a book party and everyone had seconds. Then I took the leftovers to work the next day and everyone raved about it. Almost everyone who tasted it asked for the recipe. This recipe is a winner (although I don't think I'll make it regularly because it's so unhealthy and exercising portion control was very difficult.
