Yum! This is sweet and rich and delicious! I think the amount of butter is just fine. My only problem was that I made mine in a springform pan, I saw a picture of it cooked that way on another website, and it took much longer to bake. But I covered it with foil so it would burn and it turned out great! This is a perfect addition to a Thanksgiving meal! Thank you Paula Deen!

I've been making this for a couple years now as a thanksgiving dessert since everyone in my family thinks pumpkin pie is boring, it's awesome but the butter in the filling is completely unnecessary. Before it bakes, it's completely runny so adding the melted butter would make it take a lot longer to cook, plus give you super high cholesterol lol

This was the grossest dessert I have ever made. It called for way too much butter, it tasted greasy and slimy. I was very dissapointed.

I have made this for Thanksgiving and Christmas for several years and it is always a hit. It is very sweet, but I like it for a holiday treat. I use neufchatel instead of full-fat cream cheese and it doesn't alter the taste or texture of the original recipe. I serve it with barely sweetened whipped cream which helps cut the sweetness of the cake itself. Alongside a cup of coffee, this is a delightful end to a holiday meal.

I made this cake for the first time three years ago, and ever since it's requested for Thanksgiving. My family enjoys it very much despite the sweetness of it.

I make this recipe every year and it is always a hit! To reduce the calories I use Reduced Fat Cream Cheese, and it tastes the same!

I made it yesterday, and it was delicious. It was easy to make too. It was just too sweet for my taste. I will make this again next week, but I'd reduce the sugar.
