This was very easy to make. I made it for my family and the Marines I work with. They are already offering to buy the ingredients if I will make again and bring it in to work. I used alittle rum in the whip topping and everyone loved it. There is no such thing as left overs with this recipe. Love the recipe thank you.

Made this yesterday with my little nephew's help and wow was this tasty! For some reason I didn't expect it to be so delicious but it was. The presentation is wonderful too with whipped cream on top and sprinkled cinnamon, yummy! I followed the recipe except used only about 12 ounces of sugar having read the reviews of it being too sweet. I'm glad I cut down on sugar because it was perfect this way, just sweet enough, and any more sugar it would've been too sweet. It tastes just as good the next day. I will save this as one of my top desserts ever. Thanks Paula!

This recipe is so good. I have used the pineapple version before and it was great. This time I tried the pumpkin version for Thanksgiving and it was THE BEST! I followed this recipe except left out the nutmeg. Just don't care for it. Great recipe Paula!!!!.

very rich, in a good way! Could not find yellow cake mix, so used madeira cake mix and it worked brillantly.
Had to bake it for slightly longer. Don't worry if it is still really runny, it gets less runny upon cooling. But of course, make sure it is still gooey!

An excellent alternative to traditional pumpkin pie but I agree, VERY sweet. Also the leftovers didn't keep very well...are there special storage instructions so it doesn't turn to mush so fast?

I made a chocolate pumpkin gooey butter cake by using a chocolate cake mix, adding chocolate chips to the pumpkin filling and leaving out the cinnamon and nutmeg. Also, I only added about 3/4 of the powdered sugar called for. Served it with toasted coconut on top. Turned out very good!
