This recipe is WRONG. Do not follow the recipe exactly. If you watch the video, you'll see that Paula uses FAR more than 2 c. of pumpkin. If you use two CUPS, your filling will be LIQUID and will NOT cook.
Also, be wary of reviews that recommend using one can of pumpkin. Canned pumpkin comes in more than one size...
I followed exactly and after 1:20 my pies were still jiggly. I took them out to see if they'd settle, but they've been out for about an hour now and are still wet in the center. I'm not feeding that to anyone.
Poorly written recipes & stupid mistake of cooking something for the first time on Thanksgiving do not make for a very happy day.

I have made this every year since I seen it on tv everyone loves it and looks forward to me making it. It has become a tradition in my home every thanks giving.

FIRST OF ALL PAULA DIDNT USE 8 OUNCES OF CREAM CHEESE SHE USED 4 OUNCES, PLUS IT ALSO LOOKS LIKE SHE USED A 10 INCH DEEP PIE DISH. IF YOU PUT IN 8 OUNCES OF CREAM CHEESE THEN YOUR PIE FILLING WOULD BE TOO MUCH AND IT WOULD TASTE MORE LIKE CREAM CHEESE. MAKE SURE YOU WATCH THE VIDEOSSSSSSSSS THERE ARE ALWAYS TIPS THAT COOKS DONT TELL YOU OR THEY MAKE MISTAKES? I PUT IN 1 TEASPOON OF CINNAMON, 1/4 TEASPOON OF GROUND GINGER AND 1/4 TEASPOON OF ALLSPICE. MAKE SURE YOU READ THE RECIPE FIRST TOO BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO PUT THE CRUST IN THE FREEZER FOR ONE HOUR AND BAKE IT ANOTHER 10 MINUTES BEFORE YOU EVEN BAKE THE PIE.

Oh my gosh, it is like awesome reincarnated. I made this the first time last year, no, I made two- and they were both gone by the end of the night. This recipe cannot fail, it is so easy to make and people love it every time. If I could tell you what it is like visually to eat it... its like a double rainbow... but for your mouth. Bam. Make this recipe, 1 can of pumpkin folks.

Less cream cheese could make it better. It's very good but tastes more like cream cheese than pumpkin. But it's easy to make.

This is lucious and creamy and rich and Im going to keep Paula's recipe on hand. I love how it turned out and so will my family. I'll make it more often than just at Thanksgiving. Yummy!

Mine's still in the oven, looks nice. since I haven't tried it the rating doesn't 'count'. I'm tired and wondering if I can leave out to cool overnight?
