    Outstandingly delicious, but following other reviews, used only 1/2 c. of the half & half, and still needed twice the cooking time called for.

    I made this for Thanksgiving 2006; my family is VERY picky about pumpkin pie so I was anxious to hear the reactions. It was an overwhelming success! The texture was very creamy, flavor excellent, and no grittyness! I served the pie with a ginger whipped cream and I altered the recipe by following the suggestion of reducing the 1/2&1/2 to 1/2 a cup, and I used 2 whole eggs instead of the 1 egg and 2 yolks.

    This pie is easy and delicious. I didn't use the ground ginger that is optional, just because I didn't have it on hand and it really didn't matter. The texture is smooth, creamy, and nothing compares.

    I enjoyed this pumpkin pie very much. I can't wait to make it again. The cream cheese added a great additional favor to an already delicous pie.

    It is so easy to make and it taste so good. My children normally do not eat pumpkin pie but they have loved this one. It is a must try.
