    I love watching Paula and I was looking forward to making this recipe for my party. Everyone loved them! We all had seconds, even me! The one criticism I have is that they were really oily on the bottom. Did anyone else have this issue? If so, how did you solve it?

    I have been searching for a really good MOIST red velvet recipe for some time. These are unbelievable. The batter is so glossy and the frosting recipe alone is a keeper.

    another five stars...i am either easy to please or everything from here is just wonderful. My coworkers said they were hitting the O whent hey were eating them. i garnished mine with sliced strawberries and a mint leaf and covered the tops with crushed walnuts. they really were beautiful : thanks

    I had higher expectations that I should have. I must say I was very disappointed. The icing wasn't fluffy and the cake was dull flavored.

    We made these for a Mother's Day Brunch and they were delish! Baked the cupcakes the night before then frosted them the next day. There was a lot of frosting left over. So either make less or plan on using the excess frosting on something else.
