I loved these cookies, soft, moist, the total red velvet cake experience. Without reading the reviews, I forgot half my cream cheese and made half the icing. That was the perfect amount. I put the pecans in the middle to keep them from falling off and it worked out just right. I will make again very soon. All of my coworkers are asking for the recipe.

O.K. the cookie part was fabulous, only I used a teaspoon to drop them on my cookie sheet because they spread out a lot. They came out really big and a little on the thin side but still delicious. I can't imagine what they would look like if I used an ice cream scoop. The filling was bleghh!! I used a super thin coating inside the cookie and it was edible but not so great. I didn't take them to Thanksgiving dinner but the kids gobbled them up.

This recipe is very easy and tasty. After watching Paula's Red Hot Party I had to try this. The only thing I would change is the enormous amount of frosting the recipe calls for. It can kill the entire recipe, so I suggest cutting the portion the recipe calls for in half. This recipe will be permanently placed in my recipe book!

Great recipe.,, however I have so much frosting left over!!! Cut the frosting recipe in half and you will have plenty. Make sure the pecans are chopped very finely!! Easy and tasty!

These are a fun twist when you're craving red velvet cupcakes! The cookies were so moist and delicious. The only thing is... for the frosting, unless you want your cookies filled with a huge mix of cream cheese and butter, half this part of the recipe. I just spread a think layer of frosting. I don't know how paula Deen eats that much cream cheese and butter like the picture of these cookies shows!
