Tasty! Quick recipe to follow, I added a bit of kosher salt and used Panko bread crumbs...topped it with Cilantro & Lime sauce..YUM!

I've been cooking with salmon and making crab cakes for many years, but I don't see why this recipe gets so many good reviews. It was bland at best and like fried cat food at worst.

I grew up eating these as a kid. Only differences are that we didn't have "canned salmon" money, so my mom substituted the salmon for tuna. Instead of bread crumbs, she used crackers. Also, the dust was from cornmeal. I just tried it today garnished with a fresh bruscetta. It was excellent. I suggest the variation for anyone looking for an inexpensive lunch.

This goes into my "QUICK & TASTY" recipe folder. It takes literally TWO SECONDS to make this. And its delish. IF you like canned salmon. My mom doesn't like canned salmon so she wasn't the biggest fan. But I like it. Of course these would be even better with fresh salmon roasted...but this way is much quicker. I DID have trouble keeping my croquettes from falling apart in the skillet. I think next time I will add more bread crumbs to help bind these together.

great, even though I used jalapeno instead of onion ( our preference it was good, even though I used fresh salmon ( 1 lb. your portions of seasoning worked out great. I couldn't remember how and your recipe reminded me. Thanks

SO easy and SO tasty!! I loved these and I will make them again and again. Just plain yummy!!

To Darryl416, yes you drain it but please don't rate a recipe unless you make it! It messes up the results for those who want to try it because we don't get a true rating. How do you know it is a 4 out of 5??? You don't!!

I used the salmon in the pouches like tuna comes in and it is drained and deboned. So much easier than trying to pick through the canned salmon. Save yourself some time and buy it like that!!

I was wondering, do you drain the salmon or not? I really want to try this recipe.

This is 5 Stars.......I make this once a week and my husband loves it. I also add a little of Old Bay, Lemon Juice and when they are finished I top them off with a slice of lemon. Could not be better..... Thanks
