I generally love Paula Dean recipes, but this one I won't be adding to my recipe box.

I tried this recipe because I had a can of salmon around taking up space. It was really good! I made it along with the cole slaw she made on the same episode which was really good as well. Next time I will add some extra spices to it to make it a little spicy. It is a keeper!

Ms. Deens' recipe must have been copied from my Mom in Shreveport,La. I do make my own ''Cocktail-sauce'' for these ,and a horseradish tarter sauce . A scrumptious side dish is deep fried Okra , oh yeah , jalapeno cornbread . oooooohhhhhh .

Tasty dish, but it's not original in any way, you can make almost ANY "croquette" in the same manner. Just use egg, breadcrumbs, some sort of liquid to keep the cakes semi-moist, and whatever seasonings you like. Works with ground ham, tuna, ground pork, ground chicken, etc.

These were easier then my usual recipe but to add more flavor I top my salmon patties with creamed peas. Yummy and so pretty. One question, when do we call patties croquettes? My recipe for salmon croquettes says to shape the mixture into cone shapes. Still good.

This is my second try at trying to rate this recipe...let's see if it works....

This recipe came together very easily and quickly. I used a packet of Chicken of the Sea Salmon Fillet Marinated in Garlic/Oil. Using others' suggestions, I added a heaping tablespoon of mayo. I also added a pinch of cajun and Old Bay Seasoning.

As a budget-conscience single person, I will certainly make this recipe again and again.
