My family and I love fish, especially salmon. I am always looking for new and easy ways to use up the leftovers. This salad is very easy to make and tastes great.

I used smoked salmon and the salad was excellent. My guest raved on and on. A definite keeper.

As a base recipe this is wonderful. I prefer bolder flavors so I upped the acid (red wine vinegar or more lemon. I also added some store-bought cajun seasoning. I also added arugala for bit of nutty flavor (had torn and mixed in. It would be good served on a bed of arugala.
I can see taking this Asian with some soy, hoisin and/or plum sauces.
As I said, it's a excellent master recipe from which to launch your own variations (especially based on season ingredients.

This is just a killer salad. Being lazy I just get two 7.5 ounce cans of sockeye salmon at the store and just knock people out with how good this. A wonderful way to get rid of leftover salmon, too.
